Locate assistance is available only in connection with a legitimate, active process-service assignment being handled by speedSERVE.

When Locate Assistance May Be Available
Locate assistance may be available when speedSERVE is handling an active process-service assignment and the address provided by the client is determined to be invalid, outdated, or otherwise unsuccessful.
Depending on the circumstances and available information, speedSERVE may research available address information to identify a possible updated location where service can be attempted.
How It Works
Submit Your Process-Service Assignment
Provide the legal documents to be served, the recipient's information, and the last known service address.
Initial Address Is Unsuccessful
If the provided address is determined to be invalid or outdated, or information obtained during the service assignment indicates that the individual may no longer reside or receive service at that location, speedSERVE may offer locate assistance for the active assignment.
Address Research
Using information available for legitimate process-service purposes, speedSERVE may research a possible updated service location.
New Service Assignment
If a possible new address is identified and the client authorizes service at that location, service can be attempted at the new address.
The original service fee applies to the original address. Unused attempts from an invalid or unsuccessful address do not transfer to a newly located address. Service at a new address requires a new service fee.
Information That Can Help
Information provided by the client may assist with address research. Relevant details for a process-service assignment may include:
- Full legal name
- Last known address
- Approximate age or date of birth when lawfully available
- Known previous addresses
- Employer information when available
- Other identifying information relevant to the process-service assignment
Please provide only information that is relevant to the process-service assignment. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Difficult-to-Serve Defendants
Locate assistance complements speedSERVE's experience handling difficult-to-serve defendants. If an address is valid but the individual appears difficult to reach, speedSERVE may use varied attempt timing, detailed field observations, and other lawful service strategies appropriate to the assignment.
speedSERVE does not guarantee that a new address will be found or that service will ultimately be successful. All locate assistance is provided solely in connection with active process-service assignments.
